National Digital Stewardship Alliance Announces Online 2025 DigiPres Conference

August 2025

The National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA), an international membership organization that supplies advocacy, expertise, and support for the preservation of digital heritage, will host their 2025 Digital Preservation (DigiPres) conference online on October 8–10. The theme of this year’s event, “Where We’re At (Digital Preservation in Uncertain Times,” invites the NDSA community to confront the challenges of sustaining digital preservation work amid instability and unpredictability. The conference will explore how practitioners are adapting, securing resources, managing emotional labor, and encouraging resilient communities in the face of ongoing upheaval.

DigiPres 2025 will feature peer-reviewed presentations, information on NDSA’s organizational transition, reporting from NDSA working groups, and the NDSA Excellence Awards. A preconference event from the Software Preservation Network (SPN) will also be held on October 8. Tickets to the meeting are affordable, starting at only $100 for NDSA members.

This is the first time since 2023 that the meeting was held, so the conference organizing committee is expecting a robust crowd to join them next month. For more information, view the DigiPres 2025 registration page, hosted by NISO.
