Free November 15 Event Addresses Accessibility Concerns
Don’t forget to sign up for the next in our series of open webinars on metadata to support DEIA, to be held twice on Monday, November 15. (Check your local time zone to see which session is most convenient for you)! This time, we’ll be looking at metadata to support accessibility, and we are privileged to have as our keynote speaker George Kerscher, NISO’s 2021 Honorary Fellow.
As Chief Innovations Officer of the DAISY Consortium, an international organization dedicated to facilitating access to information for persons with disabilities, George Kerscher is perfectly placed to speak on this topic. He is also President of the International Digital Publishing Forum, Senior Advisor, Global Literacy at Benetech, and Chair of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Steering Council.
Following the first webinar (on metadata in support of DEIA), we’ve adjusted the format of this event slightly. The keynote presentation will be followed by Q&A with George Kerscher, which will then broaden out into a more general discussion period, with audience participation warmly welcomed and encouraged.
This webinar is open to all with an interest in engaging with us about metadata for accessibility, but registration is required in order to receive joining instructions. Please sign up here for the webinar that’s most convenient for you:
