Karen G. Schneider is the dean of the library at Sonoma State University. She was previously the University Librarian at Holy Names University, and has worked for public and special libraries, a consortium, and a vendor. She is in her third year on the Executive Board of the American Library Association and is also a commissioner for the Sonoma County Library.
