Julie Mosbo Ballestro

Associate Dean for Administrative and Faculty Services

Julie Mosbo Ballestro has held the position of the Associate Dean for Administrative and Faculty Services since January 2020. This position is responsible for administering the functions associated with the University Libraries’ Business Services, Employee Resources, Facilities Services, as well as managing faculty recruitment, hiring, retention, professional development, and promotion and tenure. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro started her career at Texas A&M University Libraries as the William and Susan Ouren Preservation Librarian in October 2013 and became Director of Preservation in 2014. She served as Interim Director of Cushing Memorial Library and Archives from September 2018-November 2019. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Certificate of Advance Study in Preservation Administration from the University of Texas-Austin. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro has served on many international and national committees including the Association of Libraries and Technical Services Board and chair of the Preservation and Reformatting Section of the American Library Association.
