Jon is commercial director of OpenAthens, an organization with a mission to enable access to knowledge through single sign-on. Established 25 years ago, OpenAthens works with 2,600 organizations worldwide and helps 5 million users in over 65 countries have access to the knowledge they want, when they want it. It is part of Jisc, a UK not-for-profit company whose role is to support institutions of higher education and research, including post-16 education. Jon’s background is in publishing and he has worked at Incisive Media as head of digital commercial development and previous to that as head of marketing for EMAP, part of the Metropolis publishing group.
