Associate Dean, Experiential Learning and Academic Engagment
Evan Simpson is Associate Dean for Experiential Learning and Academic Engagement at Northeastern University Library. The University Library is a vital partner in Northeastern's emerging global university model, supporting 45K students, faculty, and staff across 14+ global campus sites in North America and the UK. Evan provides strategic leadership for collaboration and integration in the teaching and learning ecosystem and plays a central role driving development of partnerships supporting research. In addition to public services Evan oversees Archives and Special Collections and Collection Development and Scholarly Communications. He specializes in strategic planning, advocacy for the library, and developing distinctive programs and initiatives at the intersection of experiential learning, digital scholarship, and community engagement. Prior to Northeastern, Evan worked at Tufts University, Brandeis University, the New York State Library, and Planned Parenthood.
