Christine Fruin is Scholarly Communication and Digital Projects Manager for Atla, a membership association of librarians and information professionals committed to advancing the study of and promoting worldwide scholarly communication in religion and theology. Drawing upon her education and experience as an attorney, she has worked for over a decade as an academic librarian dedicated to promoting access to and use of diverse collections through utilization of fair use, open access and responsible licensing. Fruin is a frequent author and speaker on copyright in online education, fair use in higher education and open and public access. Her other interests include use of media in online education, information law and policy in libraries, and collection development/management.
