Christina MacLaughlin is a Senior Portfolio Analyst specializing in business intelligence and analytics within the Publications division of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Christina's previous experience as a chemistry researcher and Managing Editor at ACS Publications provides her with valuable perspective on designing analyses that are timely and impactful to ACS' strategy within the scientific community and scholarly publishing landscape. While serving as a member of the ACS Publications DEIR working group and spearheading a range of editorial strategy initiatives targeted for early career authors, a focus of Christina's current role is author, reviewer, editor, and EAB member demographic data reporting and analysis for the annual ACS Diversity Data Report. This Report promotes transparency regarding representation in scholarly publishing, and supports development of strategy designed to continually increase demographic diversity amongst individuals involved in ACS journal communities.
