Say, Do You Remember? NISO Plus Happens in September

June 2025

The dedicated volunteers on our Planning Committee are hard at work developing the program for the NISO Plus Global/Online conference, happening virtually this September (the call for proposals is open until June 20—it’s not too late to submit an idea for a session). And registration is open, so you can book your place now!

It’s a great time to feel like part of a community, and NISO Plus offers attendees a valuable opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues representing libraries, publishers, technology and service providers, and others from around the world. The two-day virtual event features live, interactive sessions on the most pressing issues facing professionals in scholarly communications today. Every presentation will be followed by discussions in which participants will explore common problems and brainstorm solutions. If past NISO Plus conferences are an indicator, we’ll collectively generate ideas that lead to future standards projects and initiatives.

NISO Plus will also offer an opportunity to catch up on what’s happening with information standards—our standards program managers will join Working Group and Standing Committee volunteers to share how various projects are progressing. We’ll also host a lightning session (back by popular demand) focusing on the latest products and innovations from participating organizations.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, we’ve made tickets affordable, offering a lower rate than in 2024. Discounts are available for NISO members and groups, and there are special rates for students, retirees, and LMIC residents. The early bird registration deadline is Friday, August 15

September will be here before you know it, so why wait? Take advantage of early bird rates and register now. And in the meantime, check the NISO Plus site for updates on the program and speakers.

Thank you to our sponsors Cadmore Media (our platform partner), Figshare (our slide repository), Bowker, the American Chemical Society, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Silverchair. See the NISO Plus website for information on how to join them.
