ISO 11799:2024 Document storage requirements for archive and library materials
Technical Committee: ISO/TC 46/SC 10
This document specifies the required characteristics of repositories used for the long-term storage of archive and library materials. It covers the siting, construction and renovation of the storage facility, and the installation and equipment to be used both within and around the building. This document applies to all archive and library materials held in repositories, where mixed media can be stored together with paper-based materials. It does not preclude the establishment of separate areas or compartments within individual repositories, where the environment can be controlled to create conditions suitable for the needs of specific archive materials. This document does not specify exhibition or display guidelines.”

ISO/IEC 4944:2024 User interfaces — Evaluating usability of natural user interfaces

“This document provides a framework, requirements and recommendations for evaluating the usability of a natural user interface (NUI) for systems, products or services. Measuring and reporting the usability of the NUI are also described. The usability evaluation focuses on the efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of the NUI. This document can also be applied to the usability evaluation of other user interfaces (UIs) for emerging technologies.”

Invitation to comment on XLIFF v2.2 CSD01 [OASIS]
“OASIS and the XLIFF TC are pleased to announce that XLIFF v2.2 CSD01 Parts 1 & 2  are now available for public review and comment. This spec is a multi-part specification which defines Version 2.2 of the XML Localization Interchange File Format (XLIFF). The purpose of this vocabulary is to store localizable data and carry it from one step of the localization process to the other, while allowing interoperability between and among tools.”

Announcing The Unicode® Standard, Version 16.0

“Version 16.0 of the Unicode Standard is now available. This is a major version update that includes new characters and code charts, new data files and annexes, an updated core specification, and updated annexes and synchronized standards. This version adds 5,185 new characters, including 3,995 additional Egyptian Hieroglyph characters plus seven new scripts, seven new emoji characters, and over 700 symbols from legacy computing environments, for a total of 154,998 characters.”
