Rebecca Kennison is the Executive Director of K|N Consultants, a not-for-profit organization that provides strategic and operational guidance to academic institutions and libraries, learned and scholarly societies, scholarly publishers and university presses, and other mission-driven organizations. She currently acts as a co-PI on HuMetricsHSS, an initiative that creates and supports values-enacted frameworks for understanding and evaluating all aspects of the scholarly life and for promoting the nurturing of these values in scholarly practice. Prior to working full time at K|N, Rebecca was the founding director of the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, a division of the Columbia University Libraries, where she was responsible for developing programs to facilitate scholarly research and the communication of that research through technology solutions. She has worked primarily in the scholarly publishing industry, including production leadership roles at Cell Press, Blackwell Publishing (now Wiley), and the open-access publisher Public Library of Science (PLOS).
