Join Us for Our 2023 NISO Plus Forum
This month we’re reminding everyone that registration is now open for our second NISO Plus Forum, an on-site, workshop-style event in which attendees explore areas of common concern to the information community. With thanks to the American Geophysical Union for their support, this year’s Forum will be held at the AGU headquarters in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
The theme of this year’s event is AI & Machine Learning in Scholarly Publishing: Services, Data, and Ethics. It is geared toward information professionals across all functions and organization types who have an interest in this timely topic, as well as the functional expertise to understand the challenges and opportunities for both their organization and the wider community.
As in 2022, our format will be organized around “World Cafe” discussions, with the focus primarily on practical work in small groups to help shape the NISO Plus conference as well as NISO’s standards development priorities. It’s a great opportunity to share your perspectives with a diverse group of colleagues from across the information industry, and to better understand theirs.
We would like to thank Silverchair and Bowker for sponsoring the 2023 Forum—their generous support makes our event possible. If you would like to join them, please check out the sponsor page on the NISO Plus site.
You can find additional information, including a preliminary program, on our event page. Because of the highly interactive nature of this event, registrations will be strictly limited to 100 attendees, so be sure to reserve your place(s) now! We hope you’ll join us for this exciting day of networking, brainstorming, and collaboration.
