Review their FactTank: News in the Numbers piece for more substantive information and statistics. One or two quick factoids to take away:

  • A record 23 million Asian Americans trace their roots to more than 20 countries in East and Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent, each with unique histories, cultures, languages and other characteristics.
  • Hmong account for only 1% of Asian Americans nationally, but they're the single largest Asian origin group in Minnesota and Wisconsin, outnumbering both Indian and Chinese Americans.
