Event Sessions
APA Online Dictionary of Psychology: The Official Guide to the Lexicon of Psychology
Speaker
In April, APA proudly launched the online APA Dictionary of Psychology resource tool -- the result of a year-long project to design and develop a new visual interface for the Dictionary content, incorporating UI and UX features, along with SEO. With more than 25,000 entries across 90 subfields of psychology, the dictionary provides search, browse, word of the day, and social sharing functionality. With the primary goal of making the content accessible and free to the public, the resource tool provides an exciting opportunity to unite product design with the mission of APA -- to advance the creation, communication and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people's lives. Possible future applications include: the development of an Alexa skill dictionary app, integration into sitewide navigation, term-specific related content, and further integration into APA Style Central and upcoming digital learning tools.

(Re)Exploring the potential of Google Expeditions
Speaker
Built for a classroom use or a small group, Google Expeditions offers a series of field trips virtually through collections of 360° and 3D images. When the app is run collectively, the teacher can lead the group to discuss various point of interests. Although this is not a brand new offering from Google, the potential of this app is still intriguing.
